Invocation


Invocation is a film installation in the exhibition Krishna in the garden of Assam at the British Museum. It is a film that is cebration in silence of the vitalism of the psychical world through observations which dissolve the physical, mental and emotional “individual self” into larger and more potent entities. It also explores the links Assam had with Tibet several hundred years ago.
It is shot in Majuli and is a response to the largest surviving example of an Assamese devotional textile, the ‘Vrindavani Vastra’. This is on display in the exhibition- Krishna in the garden of Assam at the British Museum in the garden of Assam at the British Museum.
